My home town is organized every year in August, Christian happening.
Event involves a number of parishes. Almost everyone, except Orthodox and Catholics.
For them, liturgy and the mass is more important, than spread the good news about Jesus. Myself I'm also involved, because the Gospel proclamation is important, and even if I do not share the same view with the entire parish, so it is not a barrier to testify about Jesus.
Many times I have noticed that there unitarian movements find it hard to get to testify about Jesus. That to me is false Christianity, and it is more like elitism.
But also orthodox and roman catholic are more like that too.
It is hoped that many find Jesus.

A whole weekend full Christian events!

I was responsible for the event's security. There were only a few drunks who disrupted the event. But here people respect christians. Although not very active in visiting churches.
There were really a lot of young people when there was a Christian heavy metal Band performing on Friday 28.8.09.

Free thinkers (for want of a better word in English (Misguided thinkers)) tried to attack the tent which was full of people praying. Fortunately, the police brought them away. It seems that atheists have such large views thet they disturb the social peace in the town.

It was the humanists that were seen as the angry people, who hate God.
Yeah right, so much talking but still the same old story, everybody is happy when christian faith is gone and no one talks about Jesus.

Many testified the faith. It was nice to listen to these people. :D
Was also a lot of which I reject as excessive charismatic and TV evangelist style. heh :D

I do not know anybody here interested in such events, but I thought I would write about what happens around here.

Hopefully the Arian Catholic Church will sometimes arrange something similar.
