:reveek: I love the idea of a monastic Arian Catholic community. If I had the means, and God willing I will someday, I'd open such a monastery here in the States

As a Lay Oblate you are not bound to a reside in a community as you would be a part of a wider community.
The Arian Catholic Order of St Benedict also affords more freedom to its members if that is the life they choose. The discipline and obediance is in the vows that are taken.

I plan to by the new year! I just wish I had a few acres of land to build a monastery, a refuge for all Arian Catholics and related parties, but that's going to take a little while. It gives me something to look forward to:reveek:

We are seeking to rent something like a old village school building here in Finland plus few acres of land. We could arrange international conferences, Bible study, courses, ex-narc & ex-con help programs, retrites, scout camps and work (agriculture, berry gathering, wood cutting) there for Arians and interested, and social outcasts.
This is something that could be done, and so we pray for the project and hope you'll pray also.

Henrik, have you had any luck with the project?

very cool project. I wish Finland wasn't so far away from my country.
